My Favs from our Vacation :) 08/15/2011
A couple weeks ago, we went to Panama City for our summer vacation(Spring Break '96!) We went with 2 other families, rented an awesome house with a private pool and pool house, ate a lot, laughed a lot and spent as much time as we could on the beach. Thank you Kory and Dawn, Michelle and Turk for being so cool and having awesome kids...and thank you to my husband for being the life of the party! Love you all! 1 Comment Amy... 08/01/2011
I have never, in my life, have met a more brave, loving, strong, and sincere woman. We are all better for knowing her...even if only for a minute My son calls her AHA... 04/13/2011
When Jackson started speaking, he couldn't say Sara. So he called her Aha instead. I don't know where he got Aha from Sara, but I love it. Jackson is now almost 6 and still calls her Aha. Aha holds a very special place in my family's hearts and now she's about to have her 3rd baby! We were pregnant together for the past 8 months or so with our due dates only 2 weeks apart. It's been a lot of fun being pregnant together...sharing our aches and pains and waddling together. But of course, Baby Landon decided to come 3 weeks early. I hope our boys are going to best friends! 1 Week Old! 04/06/2011
I can't believe that I was blessed with 2 perfect and easy babies! I didn't get to nurse Jackson for very long because he never did latch on right but other than that, he never cried unless he was hungry, and he was sleeping through the night at 6 weeks. Landon on the other hand, has been so easy to nurse and I have not had to suppliment with any formula. He only wakes up twice during the night, and he too only cries when he's hungry. Crazy huh? Back To The Hospital... 04/06/2011
Baby Landon was born on Saturday March 26th, we were discharged on March 27th and we were home for a whole day before we were sent back to the hospital. When we were discharged, his bilirubin level was a little high, but not high enough to be concerned. We took him back on the 28th for another blood test and found out that the levels shot up to 20 so off to the NICU we go....we were pretty scared, and nervous, didn't know what to expect. I had to stay overnight with him while Ryan went home to be with Jackson. I can't even imagine what it was like for Ryan to have to leave us there...i'm sure he was torn. But we knew Jackson needed us too. Poor Jackson was so worried about his new brother he cried when we left :) But Landon was such a little trooper! He slept under the photo therapy lights without a peep, only waking to nurse. And after a night at the hospital, he was well enough to go home.... Where Have You Been??? 03/28/2011
It's been way too long! But i have some exciting news! Our little family of three has just become a family of four. After a very dramatic pregnancy, we delivered Baby Landon Shinji on Saturday, March 26th. He was 37 weeks and 2 days weighing 6 pounds and 1.5 oz. Tiny little guy! Big brother Jackson was 8 pounds 14.7 oz so we are definitely not used to holding such a itty bitty baby! We have been waiting a very long time for you baby Landon.... Coolest Storm Clouds I've Ever Seen! 06/16/2010
Please excuse the poor quality of these images...we were in the car and it was very dark...aaaand i was just plain to excited to see these that i wasn't paying attention to the camera settings! I soo should've been a meteorologist Feeding The Ducks 06/13/2010
Sometimes it's just plain impossible to take a day away from work and spend quality time with Jackson...but sometimes I just have to. For my own sanity, and for everyone else's :) Happy 5th Birthday Jackson! 06/08/2010
We had Jackson's 5th birthday party on May 30th(yeah I know...I'm a little behind) and it was a blast! I might have gotten about 5 pics during the actual party because I was playing host...but after things calmed down, we had a water gun/balloon fight! Well...it was more the adults than the kids, but they had fun on the slip'n slide! Thanks to all that came to celebrate! Jackson's Birthday Week...6 Days & Counting! 05/24/2010
We took Jackson for a little drive, went on a duck tour on the Ohio river, and then to the candy store! |
